Shay Sorrells Biggest Loser

Shay Sorrells grew up homeless with a drug-addicted mother and starting eating for comfort. She joined the Biggest Loser as a contestant and is now winning hearts as she tries to triumph over past by shedding over 450 lbs!

This is truely an amazing story, however what is the truth behind her weight loss? Is it really what she ate, or is it the exercise that she did while in Los Angeles?

She mentioned that her mom was a heroin addict of over 25 years. "I saw the destruction and the path of addiction. There was a two-year period when we were homeless and there was a lack of food. When there is a lack of food, all you do is crave it more. You desire it, so it becomes second nature to have it whenever and as much of it as you can. That became a huge part of my subconscious."

She did go into foster care as a 5 year old toddler until she was 18 years old! She always wore women's plus size clothing at the time of 10 years. When her mother passed away about 3 years ago, it was when she realized she had an addiction, a food problem.
